As a Research Associate, will be responsible for supporting research groups working on the development, testing, and improvement of media products. As this is a part-time position, the salary will be pro-rated based on the actual part-time hours worked (estimation of 18 hours per week). Job Description Duties and Responsibilities Performing human cell culture maintenance and supporting in-house testing, lab operations, and quality initiatives Communicating with and updating team members and stakeholders during the week to organize, prioritize, and schedule duties for independent weekend completion Executing general lab procedures and tasks, including but not limited to, calculations, assays, documentation, and troubleshooting without direct supervision Mandatory weekend work (Saturday and Sunday) will be required Knowledge and Qualifications BSc (in progress or completed) in Life Sciences or related field (relevant co-op training, directed studies, or equivalent is an asset) Experience with mammalian cell culture techniques required. The annual base salary for this job ranges from: $56,270.00 - $76,100.00 STEMCELL determines an individual’s pay within the range based on multiple factors including experience, education, job-related skills, and equity within the team or organization. For jobs that are eligible for sales incentives, the range noted above is inclusive of target incentives; actual incentives are based on individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
