What you will do We are looking for an Executive Chef who will provide leadership and management for the Resort’s culinary and stewarding department, support the goals of the Director of F&B, and plan, organize, control and direct the work of employees in the culinary department while ensuring guest satisfaction and meaningful and lasting dining impressions. Culinary offering at the resort includes 2 Restaurants, Patio, Pool bar, 24-hour elevated in-room dining, twice a year pop-up Restaurant, Chef tasting menu, in-room chef experience, banquets and off-site catering. The primary responsibilities for this position are to ensure our guests and employees receive the highest level of food quality and service, manage and develop a team, devise and monitor an annual budget, manage food cost, labor control and operating expenses and develop relationships with key suppliers and industry associates. What you bring Culinary leadership experience in a luxury hotel/resort, with proven record leading a dynamic culinary team and luxury operation. A leader who creates trust and openness and empowers their team to feel supported and create exceptional guest experiences. Excellent communication skills and a strong, innovative approach. Strong leadership, interpersonal and analytical skills, able to prioritize and adapt to the changing needs of the operation. Internationally versed and multi-venue experience with a driven spirit and skill set to deliver luxury operations including banquet operations, in room dining experiences, and memorable private events. Must have creativity, flair, and a strong innovative mindset. Collaboration with peers is something you love and working with the Director of Food and Beverage and the Director of Catering you are able to problem solve and recommend solutions and or alternatives with confidence, clarity and mutual respect. You have a mind for business acumen that results in achieving financial goals for the kitchen. Monitoring labor supplies and food expenses. You are innovative and adapt well to change enabling you to drive Food and Beverage business revenue, reduce costs and increase guest satisfaction. Strong community relations, ability to motivate and lead a team of professionals. Ability to operate computer equipment and knowledge of Open Table and Microsoft applications. Previous experience with MICROS or other POS systems required. Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language. As Executive Chef you will assist in overseeing all Culinary and Pastry staff and all aspects of the kitchen Operations.
