Job Summary Job Description What is the opportunity? RBC’s Commercial Credit team is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Analytics & Credit Strategy. This role focuses on developing and implementing innovative credit strategies to facilitate auto-adjudication, deliver data-driven insights, and drive business growth. As part of Commercial Credit within RBC’s Commercial Banking business segment, you will leverage advanced analytics and collaborate with key stakeholders across Commercial Banking, Group Risk Management (GRM), Regional Banking, Risk Operations, Products, and Technology & Operations (T&O) to transform Commercial Credit and deliver impactful solutions. What will you do? Lead the development and execution of data-driven credit strategies to enhance efficiencies, improve customer experience, optimize profitability, and support business growth Identify opportunities to better utilize RBC’s data assets to enhance process efficiencies and streamline workflows Use advanced analytics, statistical techniques, and data mining to gain customer insights, identify new business opportunities, and improve credit processes Build and maintain dashboards and data visualization tools to deliver actionable insights, monitor portfolio performance, and increase data accessibility Conduct deep-dive data analyses into areas of concern, elevated risks, or unusual trends to support recommendations and decision-making Provide statistical analysis and financial modeling to support the team’s OKR and visions Collaborate with IT partners to ensure the successful implementation of credit strategies, ensuring data accuracy and alignment with business expectations Engage with senior management and GRM to refine and execute strategies, presenting insights and recommendations effectively What do you need to succeed? Must-have: Strong expertise in credit strategy development, including experience with credit risk fundamentals, portfolio management, and financial modeling Proficiency in SQL, with the ability to query, analyze, and manipulate large datasets to extract data for analysis Strong knowledge of RBC’s business data assets (e.g., EDW, EDL), credit processes, systems infrastructure, and data architecture Experience with modern analytical tools and technology stacks, including SQL, Python, R, Tableau, and GitHub Proven experience in building Tableau dashboards to deliver data insights and improve data accessibility Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision Proven stakeholder management experience, with effective communication and presentation skills Ability to connect process, policy, system, and data to establish impacts and drive business outcomes Nice-to-have: Previous experience working with Commercial Banking-related data, credit models, or strategies Strong knowledge and experience developing statistical models and applying their output in practical strategies, including logistic regression Strong understanding of RBC’s risk appetite, strategies, and frameworks Proven prioritization and decision-making ability, with the ability to deal with ambiguity What’s in it for you?
