As a Senior Product Owner you will be a key member of the team leading the Simplii digital strategy, execution to build the bank of the future. You will be defining the roadmaps and capabilities that enable Simplii’s growth objectives and modernization of our digital platforms. How you’ll succeed Curiosity & New Ideas - Support the team in researching digital capabilities, consumer and competitive trends. You maintain an intimate understanding of key advancements in product features, technology innovations, and client experience advancements. You are able to challenge the status quo on the ways we work and have input in how Simplii is evolving. Strategy - Contribute to the digital vision and create buy-in of the strategy with stakeholders including the executive team and delivery teams. Support Product Management in maintaining the digital roadmap and continuously prioritize features. You'll find, analyze, and lead contracts with strategic suppliers and vendors. Delivery - Engage in the planning, development, and launch for new features and products. You'll work closely with a multi-disciplinary team of innovative thinkers to conceptualize, build, and ship digital experiences leveraging cutting edge technologies. You will be the point person for securing funding, mitigating risk, driving project requirements, and developing the go to market strategy and future iterations. Data & Research Driven - Understand key product metrics and KPIs. You'll work with cross functional team to collect research to identify, design, validate, launch, and iterate simple, smart, and inspiring banking features that reflect the needs of our customers. Who you are You have a degree in Business, Engineering or Computer Science. It is an asset if you have a Masters/MBA/Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO). You can demonstrate 5+ years’ experience working as a Product Owner with excellent project delivery skills and proven ability to lead cross-functional projects & teams to conceptualize, define and implement new features. You bring experience in prioritizing the backlog/user stories to best achieve business goals & be clear on the outcomes expected. Experience working in a technology company or top-tier technology consulting firm is considered an asset. You can demonstrate 3+ years’ experience working in an Agile scrum team and have excellent agile leadership competencies. You have experience in driving the creation and owning the Product Roadmap, through defining the vision right through to authoring, refining and approving backlog items, with clearly articulated “definitions of done.” You're strategic and infuse creativity into your work. You have experience in creating informed and data driven business cases to drive growth and you consistently achieve desired outcomes. You give meaning to data.
