Rotation: 14/7 rotation
Fly in/out: FROM Calgary or Edmonton TO Fort McMurray

Position Overview:
Challenger Geomatics has an opening for a Survey Party Chief on a fly in/out from Calgary or Edmonton to Fort McMurray on a 14 day-on and 7 day-off rotation.

General Responsibilities:
Completes field surveys and works closely with the Project Manager to ensure all client objectives are met.
Provides necessary documentation to office staff including any field notes, computations, and other survey data.
Communicates effectively with team members and ensures tasks are completed on time.
Performs all health and safety duties as identified in the company’s safety procedures.
Skilled with the use of survey equipment (GPS/GNSS Rovers, Total Stations, Locators, etc.) and ensures all company equipment and vehicles are properly operated and maintained.
Required Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Geomatics or related discipline as well as previous survey experience.
Must be flexible and willing to work out of town.
Valid Class 5 driver’s license with clean driver’s abstract
Physical fitness - party chief's work outside in tough conditions, often carrying equipment long distances.
Desired Qualifications
Experience in the energy sector or construction.
Advanced Pilot (an asset)
Line Locating experience
3D Scanner experience (an asset)
Valid Safety Certificates (i.e. H2S, First Aid, CSTS, Wildlife Awareness)
