You will be joining a team of individuals that are passionate about all things VMware. You will collaborate with your manager and product owner to understand product specific priorities and execute on plans. You will develop and drive plans to maintain currency, capacity, and refresh of the storage environment. You will provide technical leadership, and best practices to other Technology teams during design, build, configuration, testing, implementation and maintenance phases of initiatives/projects involving VMware. You will provide level 3 support to troubleshoot malfunctions of storage hardware and software to resolve operational issues and restore services. How You’ll Succeed Leadership & Communication – Collaborate with senior leaders across the company and make informed recommendations to enhance Mobility related solutions. Weigh business needs against technology offerings, security concerns and provide recommendations to improve the user experience, which are practical and achievable. Governance – Proactively contribute to governance initiatives in the development of company policies, audit requirements etc. Provide technical or business guidance to clients within and outside your own department. Engineering – Lead evaluation, selection and implementation of new and emerging products and techniques; support the development of business/technology proposals by estimating implementation costs and evaluating options. Provide comprehensive senior level technical consulting to other IT senior management and senior technical teams; provide subject matter expertise on specific existing technologies. Manage the ongoing vitality of the technology throughout its lifecycle. Who You Are You can demonstrate experience in: design, solution, implementation and support of technologies and technology-based solutions dealing in storage. You have a clear understanding and knowledge of VMware NSX and how NSX interacts with vSphere environment its components and architecture. Deep level understanding of VMware virtualization technologies to provide compute resources to high density VM environments; Patching/Vulnerability Management; Build New/ expansion of clusters; Analyzing and interpreting Cluster, Host and Virtual machine performance, using ESXTOP, vSphere Client and vRealize Aria Operations; Experience w/VxRail; Experience w/VMware; Cloud Foundation is desirable; Experience and knowledge of VSAN/Storage configuration and use cases troubleshooting, Storage Policy Based Management You have first-hand experience and working knowledge in VMware Aria Operations, Log Insight, Network Insight; Construction and editing of dashboards; Analyzing performance and utilizing for deep level troubleshooting; Generating and exporting reports for management using VMware Aria Operations; Validating Solutions against the infrastructure norms; Validating workload use cases against the managed infrastructure; Site Recovery manager/ vSphere Replication; Difference between the two products; Knowledge of configuration of replicated sites, and ability to create and test recovery plans; Troubleshoot site replication issues You have first-hand experience working on VMware such as: Linux, windows, Oracle RAC, VMware Cloud Foundation, VxRail, SCCM, VMware VSAN and External Storage Technologies, PowerShell and VMware Power CLI; Microsoft Azure, in particular Azure VMware Solution (AVS) as well as VMware HCX Migration technologies, and good working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory; You have experience or are familiar with working in an Agile environment including Scrum and Kanban, Enterprise Change Management; You have strong knowledge of: IT Standards, Policies and Procedures and have the ability to use and administer the organization's technology practices, standards and procedures appropriately to diverse situations.
