Required immediately, our LOCAL ABBOTSFORD BRANCH is seeking a Full-Time STONE COUNTERTOP POLISHER for NIGHT SHIFT - Mon-Thurs 4pm - 2:30am, 4 x 10 HR shifts
Desired Skills & Experience:
1-Year experience in a similar role with polishing on natural stone and engineered quartz an asset or experience auto detailing considered transferrable skills
Experience using grinders and polishers an asset
Must be hardworking, motivated, well organized and task oriented
Basic computer skills, MS office
Have the ability to read units of measurements
Demonstrate knowledge of hand woodworking tools and operate power tools such as table saw, chop saw, etc.
Strong communication (both written and verbal)
Possess a valid Driver’s License and clear criminal record check
The successful candidate will responsible for:
File grooved, contoured, and irregular surfaces of stone to confirm to templates, other parts and layouts, or blueprint specifications
Grind, sand, clean or polish objects or parts to correct defects or to prepare surfaces for further finishing, using hand tools and power tools.
Unload/Load and adjust work pieces onto equipment or work tables, using hand tools and mechanical lifters.
Must be able to follow safety rules.
