About the Role
PowerCo Canada Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting, processing, and performing statistical analyses on large datasets in support of the development of a world-class manufacturing. In this role, you will be working with Central Digitization team located in Salzgitter (Germany) which is responsible for design, development and deployment of enterprise solution such as MES, Cloud Analytics platform and ERP, and you will be representing ST Thomas site to communicate local requirements and changes. This position plays a key role when it comes to deployment of global solution to the site and maintaining it. You will work closely with stakeholders to identify business needs, develop reporting solutions, and deliver actionable insights. The Analyst will ensure master data consistency and provide regular analytics and reports to the head of digitalization in St. Thomas.
This is a flex hybrid work structure, where employees can work both remotely and on-site at our St. Thomas location.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the Central digitalization team in design, development and deployment of Cloud data analytics platform tailored to a battery manufacturing organization.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (automation, MES, SAP, Cloud Data Analytics platform, IT, Operations) to gather requirements and translate them powerful analytics and dashboards• Take a lead role in planning and coordination of tasks during deployment stage with stakeholders• Steer and collaborate with 3rd party suppliers working on relevant tasks and interfaces• Collect, clean, and interpret large volumes of structured and unstructured data from various sources with a focus on manufacturing processes and related data domains.• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Excel.• Analyze trends, patterns, and relationships in complex data sets to identify opportunities for business growth and process improvement.• Collaborate with business leaders to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure data accuracy and integrity.• Translate business requirements into technical specifications for data solutions.• Perform A/B testing, statistical modeling, root cause analysis and predictive analytics where applicable.• Present findings in a clear and concise manner to non-technical stakeholders.• Continuously improve data collection, data pipelines and analysis processes.• Support in the development of production data models for digital solutions• Ensure compliance with internal governance, data privacy, and security standards during rollout and operations• Oversee compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements related to data integrity and manufacturing control.• Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to safeguard digital assets from threats.• Share key insights and learnings within PowerCo, e.g. from initial acceptance and testing• Develop and maintain documentation including system architecture, data flow diagrams, configurations, and changes.• Actively seek to improve the data analytics strategy together with the central team• Conduct training or demonstration sessions for key stakeholders.• Implement changes and troubleshooting after deployment
What you bring to the Team
• Bachelor's degree in data science, STEM or other relevant fields• Minimum of 3 years of related experience• Knowledge of Cloud data platform such as Microsoft Azure is required.• Business Intelligence background is an asset• Proficiency in SQL and one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, R).• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.• Excellent communication and analytical skills• Experience with typical manufacturing data sources such as MES, SCADA, ERP systems us a plus• Desire to take action and make decisions• Experience in a manufacturing environment• Understanding of real time data acquisition and historian systems and suitable databases• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on continuous improvement.• Ability to adapt to changing requirements and new technologies.
