Job Description As an Electrical Design Co-op at OTTO By Rockwell Automation, you will help support both the electrical design and component qualification of our AMR platforms. You will work with experienced designers on vehicle electrical architecture, PCB design, wire harness design, and prototyping. You will work on cutting-edge robotics technology, help prototype electromechanical systems, and help qualify components and subsystems to be fit for purpose. You will report to Electrical Development Team Lead and will work Hybrid in Kitchener, ON. Your Responsibilities: Support the design, verification, and upkeep of electrical systems for our robots Help prototype new electromechanical systems and validating their functionality. Design vehicle schematics, wire harness, and prototype PCBs under the guidance of our senior designers. Source and qualify new electrical components and systems, ensuring they meet quality and performance standards. Create and implement test plans for component qualification. Troubleshoot, repair, and improve electrical systems based on feedback from tests and customers. Design, build and support test fixtures/systems for SW development. Document your work through test reports and design notes The Essentials - You Will Have Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in relevant field. Legal authorization to work in Canada is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening. The Preferred - You Might Also Have: Experience with Altium or Vesys. Knowledge of ROS, C++, or Linux for robotics applications. Experience with robotics or vehicle design/development Experience working in Electrical or Mechatronics design roles Solid understanding of Electrical design principles and hands-on prototyping experience. Familiarity with electrical components, harness drawings, and electro-mechanical devices. Experience with electrical equipment (oscilloscopes, soldering, wire crimping, etc) For this role, the Base Salary Compensation is from $18-32/hourly. Actual pay will be based on factors such as skills, education, and experience. The start date and end date of the coop term is September 3rd 2025 to December 19th 2025.
