The salary for this position begins at $51,425 and will be determined based on experience.

We’re looking for a data-driven, action-oriented, and collaborative Sales Representative to join our Sales, Marketing, and Publicity team.

We are growing our Sales, Marketing, and Publicity team and are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment who can work across datasets and alongside internal teams to forecast customer demand and drive availability and visibility for Penguin Random House’s books online.

Your contribution to the story:
At Penguin Random House Canada, our Online and Digital sales team is focused on positioning and optimizing our full Penguin Random House catalogue for sale online, paying close attention to real-time data and marketplace trends.
Reporting to the Group Director, In-Market and Digital Sales, you will work within the Online and Digital sales team to oversee inventory and promotion of a portion of Penguin Random House’s catalogue at Amazon.
What you’ll do:
Ensure online availability and clean sell-through of a portion of PRH’s catalogue online.
Prepare and utilize sales forecasts on a title by title basis, working with internal teams to plan inventory requirements.
Swiftly react to and action sales opportunities based on real-time data and trends.
Coordinate opportunity-based merchandising.
Support online promotion planning, tracking, and reporting.
Respond to account-specific inquiries and troubleshoot accordingly.
Execute and respond to day-to-day sales reporting; collaborate on process improvements within the team.
Experience and knowledge you’ll bring (qualifications):
2+ years of sales/retail experience.
A demonstrated ability to work well both independently and collaboratively.
A solutions-focused approach to problem solving and process improvement.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel (experience with VLOOKUP, pivot tables will be an asset.)
Familiarity with SQL and/or other database management language would be a strong asset.
Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize objectives and consistently meet deadlines.

A proactive mindset coupled with an ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team.
Enhanced knowledge, awareness, and experience with the culture and history of any community that has faced marginalization is considered a plus.
