The 2025-26 faculty grid for this position is $73,263 to $112,656 based on years of experience and a Bachelor of Education. Faculty with a Master's will be paid at a higher range.

Are you a passionate French educator and a natural leader ready to elevate language learning across a vibrant, internationally minded school community? Mulgrave School, an International Baccalaureate Continuum School, is seeking a French Teacher with the experience and ambition to take on the Curriculum Coordinator role for our European Languages department (Grades 6–12).
Your Role as French Teacher:
Teach MYP and/or DP French Language Acquisition courses
Inspire students through engaging instruction and deep cultural connection to Francophone communities
Serve as a Homeroom Advisor to a group of senior students
Enrich student learning with experiential opportunities such as trips and exchanges
Foster a love of language, critical thinking, and global citizenship
Your Role as Curriculum Coordinator:
As Curriculum Coordinator, you’ll serve as the pedagogical leader for the European Languages team (French & Spanish) in Grades 6–12, guiding curriculum development, instructional practice, and student achievement. You will:
Lead a collaborative, passionate team of language educators
Champion inclusive, differentiated instruction that supports diverse learners
Ensure vertical and horizontal alignment across MYP and DP programs
Work closely with Programme Coordinators and Learning Strategies to elevate teaching and learning
Use data, observation, and student feedback to drive strategic decisions
Oversee professional learning, mentor teachers, and manage the departmental budget
Contribute to strategic school goals including personalized learning, student agency, and wellbeing
This leadership role is for the 2025.26 and 2026.27 academic year (renewable) and includes:
6 hours of time release per two-week cycle
$6,000 annual stipend
Eligibility for up to $5,000 Goal-Related Leadership Bonus (GRLB)
Who You Are:
A native-level French speaker with a Bachelor’s degree in French
A Canadian resident legally entitled to work in Canada
Certified to teach in BC (or able to obtain certification)
Experienced in teaching French to adolescents, preferably in an IB context
A collaborative, organized leader who is committed to equity and inclusion
Passionate about developing and guiding fellow educators
Preferred Experience:
IB DP French teaching and/or IB Educator Network involvement
Knowledge of the MYP and DP frameworks
Strong understanding of inclusive education and instructional differentiation
Experience mentoring or leading within a school community

The final salary offer will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience in accordance with BC labour laws and company policies.
