The Retail Operations team is seeking a detail-obsessed and execution-driven Store Development Manager!
You’ll drive the full end-to-end process of new store development — from real estate handoff through construction, activation, and grand opening. You’ll be the engine behind our growth, managing real estate workflows, building momentum across teams, and ensuring every milestone is hit on time and with excellence.
This role calls for a master project manager who thrives in complexity, owns outcomes, and brings structure to every stage of the New Store Opening (NSO) process. If you love operational flowcharts, live for timelines, and obsess over store readiness — we want to meet you.

About You
You LOVE the details and are relentless about driving detailed, tangible outcomes.
You are a builder - of workflows, momentum, and collaborative energy.
You’re known for taking initiative and keeping large projects on track with minimal oversight.
You are an expert communicator who ensures the right people are aligned, informed, and moving forward.
You thrive on owning a process from start to finish and don’t stop until every box is checked.
You’re comfortable navigating construction timelines, lease documents, permits, and vendor coordination — and you understand how they all connect.
You are equal parts analytical and intuitive, with the ability to anticipate risks and proactively find solutions.
Fast-paced and ever-changing environments energize you — and you bring others along with your focus and drive.
The Opportunity
As Store Development Manager, you’ll own and lead the end-to-end execution of new store openings:
Drive the entire NSO lifecycle - from real estate handover through construction, operational setup, merchandising, tech readiness, staffing, training, and launch.
Project manage construction timelines and retail build-outs in close partnership with internal stakeholders and external contractors.
Own all real estate and lease tracking workflows, ensuring documentation, approvals, and site-specific data are organized and up to date.
Develop and maintain project playbooks, trackers, and timelines to standardize and scale the store development process.
Act as the primary liaison between cross-functional teams (Real Estate, Construction, Retail, People, Legal, IT, Finance, Brand, and Visual Merchandising) — ensuring all workstreams are synchronized.
Lead weekly NSO status meetings, escalate roadblocks, and ensure accountability on tasks and deliverables.
Manage permitting processes, insurance documents, compliance requirements, and store-level administrative needs.
Partner with the Retail Operations team to ensure operational workflows and systems (POS, tech, BOH/FOH processes) are in place before opening day.
Coordinate soft launch timelines, team onboarding, visual merchandising setup, and promotional readiness with key departments.
Analyze post-opening performance and identify areas of improvement for future store development.
Qualifications
3–5 years of progressive experience in store development, construction project management, or real estate coordination in a retail or multi-unit environment.
Flexibility to travel as needed to support project execution and store openings.
Functional expertise in construction timelines, permitting, lease administration, retail operations, and project workflow management.
Exceptional organizational and planning skills - you’re energized by Gantt charts, critical paths, and post-its.
Strong communication and influence skills - you can drive a cross-functional team forward with clarity and confidence.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and bring them to completion on time and on budget.
Comfort working in digital tools such as Asana, Smartsheet, Notion, Google Workspace, and other workflow trackers.
Analytical mindset with the ability to identify inefficiencies, measure performance, and recommend improvements.
Experience coordinating internal launches and preparing retail teams for opening day is a major asset.
