This position will provide mechanical maintenance services on a diverse range of mobile equipment in a safe and timely manner. Based in the Dawson Creek shop with deployment to various worksites, this position will report to the Operations Manager. Our work is difficult but we get it done safely, with great peopleKey Duties and ResponsibilitiesPreventative maintenance and repair of Vacuum and Tank Trucks in an efficient and timely mannerTroubleshoot and inspect equipment, provide diagnostic and replace or repair defective partsUtilize basic welding and cutting techniques adhering to safety protocolsEnsure quality of welds and rework as requiredFabricate and assemble fixtures, tooling, shop aids and other devices as required for special projectsPerform basic troubleshooting of weld machines and accessories as requiredSupports safety and continuous improvement programsMaintain and support equipment records and repair historyPerform preventative maintenance and inspections on company equipment and various specialty toolsOther duties as assignedRole Specifications5+ years of experience working in an industrial environmentValid Class 5 license with no more than 5 demerits in the last 3 years requiredClass 1 or 3 license would be an assetGeneral familiarity with hydraulic and electrical systems is an assetFitting skills and a CVIP license would be an assetAble to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basisAble to provide a negative pre-employment drug and alcohol testFMM1Additional InformationThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
