Assisting the flow of materials and necessary supplies to support mining operations and all other activities related to warehouse such as receipt, delivery, storage, and inventory of camp and food supplies.The position involves a remote work lifestyle in a Nunavut camp setting with the following amenities:All meals and accommodations are provided Travel is provided to and from the site locations from a designated hub location in Edmonton, ABPrivate room with cable television Access to Wi-Fi Access to laundry facilities and detergents Access to a gym and common areas Your work will include:Maintain accurate records of all materials, food stores, and supplies in the inventory system while ensuring accountability.Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as needed to avoid shortages; for all camp departments including catering, Janitorial, Housekeeping and maintenance and commissaryEnsure timely and scheduled warehouse deliveries, documenting each shipment with hard copies stored at the office.Implement proper storage for supplied goods in accordance with B2Gold’s Health and Safety requirements.Organize and arrange materials in a systematic manner for easy retrievalManage inventory control by strictly adhering to the FIFO method. Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure alignment between physical and theoretical inventory and maintain signed hard copies of inventory documents in the office. Supervise the expiration dates of products, giving priority to items with shorter shelf lives. Proactively inform relevant Team about approaching expirations to facilitate timely consumption before depletion.Minimize spoilage and inventory discrepancies and take accountability for any instance exceeding the standard level.Generate and maintain comprehensive documentation related to inventory, including receipts, issues, and returns.Ensure the warehouse and working areas are clean and always organized; andReport any safety concerns or incidents promptly.Create detailed reports based around consumption of food, water, laundry and maintenance projects.Ensure vending machines are properly stocked and priced.Oversee commissary processes, including ordering inventory, handling all disciplines and reporting.Help coordinate movement of products between sea-cans, site transfers and warehouses.Physical Demands: Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbsClimb ladders and stairsStand, walk, squat, kneel or sit according to task for extended lengths of timePerform repetitive hand work requiring full use of both handsWork with arms above shoulder heightQualificationsWHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?Three (3) years’ experience as a storekeeper or in a similar role, preferably in the mining or construction industry.Valid class 5 driver’s license and recent driver’s abstract will be required prior to position commencement.High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics or supply chain management is an asset.You have an ability and desire to work independently with minimal supervision, and as a team player.Knowledge and experience working with inventory management software including POS equipment and Microsoft Office Suite; andAttention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.Working Conditions:Ability to work in varying weather conditions typical of NunavutFlexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidaysTravel from Edmonton Airport includedRemote camp environment with extended periods away from homeOccasional travel may be required to different camp sites within the regionPhysical Demands:Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50lbsClimb ladders or stairsStand, walk, squat, kneel or sit according to task for extended lengths of timePerform repetitive hand work requiring full use of both handsWork with arms above shoulder heightAdditional InformationWHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?Enjoy excellent work-life balance with a 4 week on/2 week off rotationAbility to expand skills in a large camp atmosphere Whereas other companies are downsizing, we are growing!Be #1 on day 1 by joining an industry leaderWork schedule and remuneration:Inventory Control Clerks work on a rotational schedule of 4 weeks on/2 weeks off. Site locations are in remote settings, requiring either air travel to site, or via ground on our shuttle. You may be required to work nights, weekdays, weekends, and general holidays.
