Consider this opportunity. The Consultant, Capacity, Access & Flow will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating capacity, access, and flow activities within the West region. This role involves collaborating with internal and external partners to enhance the broader health system's function and operations. Here is what you will be doing: Health System Planning & Change Management Lead regional initiatives to support new models of care and improve access to clinical programs (e.g., Surgery, medical imaging). Facilitate planning, coordination, and system integration for Integrated Community Health Service Centres (ICHSC) aligned with provincial priorities. Drive change management in partnership with health service providers. Analyze data to identify service gaps and co-design solutions with partners. Champion innovative partnerships to support clinical transformation and access to care. Partner Engagement Facilitate engagement with senior health service providers, physicians, patients/caregivers, and Ministry staff. Represent Ontario Health at regional and provincial planning tables. Provide strategic input into system plans and manage related project plans and budgets. Use political acuity and negotiation to build strategic collaborations. Collaborate across Ontario Health to align and integrate regional efforts. Performance Management Implement tools and guidelines for effective project execution. Monitor and report on initiatives to ensure performance targets are met. Support continuous quality improvement and performance evaluation. Issues & Partnership Management Proactively manage issues and facilitate resolution among partners. Apply strong problem-solving skills to complex challenges. Identify and pursue partnership opportunities to advance Ontario Health initiatives. Here is what you will need to be successful: Education and Experience Master’s degree in health administration, health planning, business administration or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a health care environment. Clinical background is considered an asset. Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in a multi-partner healthcare environment required. Experience in the hospital/acute sector an asset. Knowledge and Skills Understanding of Ontario’s health service delivery and Ontario Health’s role in planning and funding. Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to build strategic relationships with diverse partners. Proficiency in MS Office (SharePoint, PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and virtual platforms (MS Teams, Zoom). Experience in health care planning, analysis, and evaluation across sectors. Strong project management and organizational skills. Sound judgment and ability to negotiate complex policy strategies. Experience with performance data analysis and program evaluation. High integrity, discretion, and professionalism. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
