Aim to optimize inventory levels, striking a balance between meeting demand and minimizing carrying costs Supervise and direct all shipping/receiving functions, material movements and personnel in the plant & warehouse to ensure orderly flow of materials to all areas are moved safely and efficiently Supervise all IMS/SAP functions relating to Shipping & Receiving and Warehouse Organize and Optimize warehouse storage to maximize the allocated space utlization Monitor & organize freight activities for contracted carriers to minimize and optimise freight costs Identifying and resolving operational roadblocks. Developing and implementing improvements in operating methods and procedures. Performing root cause analysis and addressing issues that arise. Track actual production output against the schedule, identify any deviations, and implement corrective actions to ensure on-time delivery. Supervise and lead ECNs from Materials department for smooth implementation Responsible for retrieving & transmitting customer documentation (releases) via electronic data interchange systems (Gentran) Coordinate all pickup & delivery to/from suppliers, subcontractors & customers are completed JIT with Material Planners Supervise proper tracking of Customer-owned and Multimatic-owned returnable containers. Actively participate in daily meetings and monthly employees meeting. Lead in all physical inventory activities. Responsible for establishing window time control on the docks and a method to measure attainment Perform performance reviews for all direct reports and provide feedback for their performance Monitor manpower requirements for shipping & receiving and make recommendations Report issues and concerns directly to Manager To work in compliance with IATF standards. Follow all company and department instructions and procedures. Perform all other duties as assigned by General Manager and/or department manager In the event of quality nonconformance, halt the material or production process and follow non-conforming procedure; ensures complete purge and containment, initiate corrective action In the event of receiving customer concern (verbal or electronic) issues customer/concern report to the Manager and others if deemed necessary (QA Manager, Supply Chain Manager). Will maintain due diligence regarding environmental matters, minimize any potentially harmful accidents and work in compliance with ISO 14001. Will follow the environmental guidelines for aspects as outlined in the job training requirements.
