Business Overview: The Finance team is responsible for budgeting, management reporting and analysis and special projects for Fidelity Canada’s various business units. The team’s main focus is to support these business groups in achieving their objectives by identifying issues, recommending solutions, providing financial transparency and value-added financial assessments. This is achieved by establishing strong relationships with these client groups while meeting the needs and interests of all stakeholders. The Opportunity: The successful individual is an articulate and analytical financial professional who will utilize their technical and relationship building skills to provide support to the Investment Management and Investment Operations groups within Fidelity Canada, while managing the needs and interests of many stakeholders including senior management. As an integral member of the Finance team, you will be responsible for financial management reporting, financial analysis, performance measurement and business planning. What You Will Do: Contribute to a high performing team towards providing analytical support to internal clients in the investment management function in Canada. Develop, manage and regularly present a framework to address the needs of the business and anticipate future business unit requirements, including management reports. Proactive support of the cost allocation process this includes the design, compilation, review and implementation of various financial models. Provide financial analysis and/or pricing support for business opportunities, trends and financial results. Facilitate the annual business planning and budgeting process while providing overall financial stewardship, expense management and support for other ad hoc projects. Develop appropriate key performance indicators / success measures and develop post implementation assessments against the relevant measures. Proactive support of board reporting and quarterly business reviews. Manages a process to high quality and efficiency standards and determines the necessary inputs and outputs to meet customer needs. Takes ownership for ensuring all work and/or processes are documented. What We Are Looking For: CPA (CA, CGA, CMA) designation preferred (or working towards or completed other professional designations such as CFA, or MBA) University degree with a focus in business (accounting, economics, commerce, finance or mathematics / statistics preferred). More than 3 years of experience working in a finance department with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in financial analysis and modeling, reporting, budgeting and/or business planning (financial services industry experience preferred).
