Director Programs (Digital Transformation & Process Optimization) Please note that this role is at Toronto office. How You’ll Make an Impact: Position Overview The Director Programs (Digital Transformation & Process Optimization) is responsible for the oversight and delivery of programs within Fidelity Investments Canada ULC (FIC), including leading and managing the portfolio of initiatives, managing the budget, risk, and timelines based on priorities for the program. In addition, the incumbent is responsible for leading, tracking, reporting, and presenting updates on the program deliverables. Key Accountabilities Program Management Responsible for program governance, strategy, oversight, and meeting the objectives of the programs. Partner with the Steering Committee and leadership team members to set strategic direction for the team. Collaborate with business leads across Fidelity on the business strategy, projects, and deliverables, including resourcing, funding, and prioritization Lead steering committee meetings, working group meetings, and other meetings as required Actively manage risks across the programs Provide program level reporting and updates to the steering committee and other stakeholders as required Build strong relationships with business and technology stakeholders. Scrum Team Sponsor Partner with technology and business stakeholders to stand up scrum teams as required for the program. Provide strategic direction for the scrum teams supporting the programs, ensuring alignment with the program goals and vision of the steering committee. Advocate for the scrum teams, and support risk mitigation and removal of any roadblocks Monitor progress of the teams and report to the steering committees and/or other senior executives as required. Partner with the Agile Delivery Office to ensure proper governance, reporting, and support is in place for the scrum teams. Relationship Management Collaborate with stakeholders across the company to understand business needs, and partner to drive solutions. Build effective working relationships with stakeholders to gain support and drive change across various divisions. Collaborate with business partners, executive sponsors, and project teams. Manage vendor and client relationships as required. Prepare effective portfolio communications and presentations for various audiences, including senior executives People Management Set strategic direction for the team. Manage a team of individuals who support the program, in addition to providing oversight for delivery of initiatives managed by leaders under different reporting lines. Assign project responsibilities across the team, clearly defining deliverables and performance expectations. Manage performance and development of the team, including partnering with the team on development opportunities. Conduct regular one-on-ones, formal and informal coaching. Responsible for working with the team to create accountability to achieve and exceed performance metrics and goals. Successfully execute end to end yearend performance review cycle. Work with HR Business Partners to develop talent management strategies to attract and retain talent. Drive employee engagement by supporting and promoting people programs and enabling Fidelity’s culture. What We Are Looking For: Experience 5-10 years of project or program management experience with at least 2 years in program management. 2+ years’ experience in people management, strong leadership and team management abilities, with a commitment to employee development reference with the job evaluation. Experience working in financial services. Experience working in an agile delivery environment. Proven track record of managing complex, cross-functional projects and or programs. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm under pressure. Education: University degree (Bachelor’s Degree) or equivalent work experience. Project Management certifications (PMP or Agile) or equivalent experience. Completion of MBA would be considered as an asset. Designations, Licenses, or Accreditations Completion of Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and/or IFIC certifications would be considered as an asset.
