The Opportunity
Black & Veatch is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to provide project management support including project execution and proposal development for water utilities and state and local government projects. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for assisting project managers from project development through project completion.
The Team
Black & Veatch’s Governments & Communities focuses on specific infrastructure needs of municipalities, state and local governments, and specialized physical and digital infrastructure solutions for government and federal agencies. Key Responsibilities
Assist with preparing staffing plans for project pursuits and existing projects
Prepare updates to client relationship management tools
Support management of project workflows
Assist with development of scopes of services and fees
Assist with developing project management plans
Assist with review and submittal of project invoices
Assist with accounts receivable and collections
Provide subconsultant management support
Provide change management support
Provide project risk management support
Assist with project execution management
Provide proposal development and management support
Develop organization charts and content for proposals
Management Responsibilities
Individual ContributorPreferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Engineering, Science, or a related field
Prefer 5+ years professional experience as a project coordinator or similar role
Previous consulting or water utility experience
Experience with critical infrastructure projects and/or experience with entities who provide or are involved with critical infrastructure projects.
Proficiency with computer software, including MS Office Suite and Project Software and Salesforce
Experience assisting with proposal development and project execution
Organizational skills including time management, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines
Experience dealing with ambiguity

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Engineering, Science, or related field or related experience.
3+ years relevant experience
