Connect with us!Job DescriptionPosition Summary:We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Manager to lead our local Canadian HR function in alignment with our global HR strategy. This role is pivotal in driving HR operations, ensuring compliance, and fostering a strong people-centric culture across the organization.Key Responsibilities:Strategic HR Leadership:Establish the local HR infrastructure in line with the global HR strategy, policies, and procedures.Serve as a member of the local Management Team and contribute to strategic planning and decision-making.Team Management:Lead and manage an HR Generalist and support functions to ensure effective HR service delivery.Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:Own the full recruitment and selection lifecycle.Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes.Conduct HR onboarding sessions.HR Policy & Compliance:Develop and recommend local HR policies aligned with global standards.Ensure compliance with local labor laws and global HR guidelines.Compensation & Benefits:Analyze and recommend competitive compensation and benefits strategies.Execute approved programs in areas such as compensation, pension, healthcare, and employee benefits.Payroll & HR Systems:Act as the system owner for payroll, time and attendance, and local HR systems.Ensure data integrity and consistency across all local and global HR platforms, including SAP SuccessFactors.Learning & Development:Manage training programs, including scheduling, tracking, and reporting using the LMS.Record both internal and external learning activities.Organizational Development:Lead initiatives related to organizational structure, job design, and staffing plans.Monitor personnel KPIs and support budget planning and review.Employee Relations:Act as a liaison between employees and management to resolve concerns through effective coaching and performance management.Monitor local labor relations in collaboration with Legal Entity Management.Local Office Coordination and Communication:Oversee local employee engagement initiatives, including event planning, employee gifts, and HR communications.QualificationsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field.Minimum 7+ years of progressive HR operations experience, preferably in the automotive industry.In-depth knowledge of HR functions including payroll, recruitment, labor law, employee engagement, compensation & benefits, and organizational development.Key Competencies & Skills:Strong analytical and decision-making skills.Hands-on mentality with a high level of initiative.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.Proficiency in electronic HR systems (e.g., SuccessFactors).Proven management and leadership skills.Strong social perceptiveness and interpersonal skills.Critical thinking and complex problem-solving capabilities.High service orientation and a business partner mindset.Ability to "think global, act local."Additional InformationInternal job title: Head Human Resources CanadaOetiker is an equal opportunity employer.
