Join us.Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to be based in our Burnaby, BC, office.This is a 3-month term set to begin as soon as possible. You will be expected to:Have knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanicsHelp evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and judgment based on guidance from lead engineers to design and construct HVAC and plumbing systems and equipment in buildings using REVIT and AutoCAD building information modeling (BIM)Assist in performing calculations, based on direction and guidance from lead engineers, to evaluate buildings heating gains and losses, domestic plumbing sizing, and hydronic system pipe sizingHelp coordinate HVAC&P systems with other disciplines to produce complete building designsLearn how to engage with other disciplines such as architectural, structural, electrical, technology, clerical, and equipment suppliersHave excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical report writing and presentationsQualificationsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Must currently be completing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Must have completed 2 years of studyAdditional InformationSponsorship assistance not providedRelocation assistance not providedAbout AECOM AECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
