Construction Project Coordinator / Administrator
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Construction Project Coordinator/Administrator to support the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects. This role is essential in ensuring smooth communication between stakeholders, maintaining accurate documentation, and assisting with project scheduling and budgeting.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and support day-to-day project activities and administrative tasks.
Assist in the preparation and maintenance of project documentation, including contracts, permits, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
Track project progress and update schedules using project management software.
Communicate with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Maintain and organize project files, drawings, and correspondence.
Monitor project budgets and assist with cost tracking and reporting.
Schedule and coordinate meetings, site visits, and inspections.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Prepare and distribute meeting minutes, reports, and other project-related documents.
Support the project team in resolving issues and ensuring project milestones are met.
Qualifications:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2+ years of experience in construction project coordination or administration.
Strong understanding of construction processes, terminology, and documentation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with construction accounting or cost control.
Familiarity with local building codes and permitting processes.
OSHA certification or knowledge of construction safety practices.
Rotations: 14 days in / 14 days out Shifts: 12 hrs (days/nights) Location: Northwestern, BC
