Electrical Engineer — Building Design
Location: Edmonton, AB (Hybrid)

Our client is a leading multi-disciplinary design and engineering firm working on some of Canada’s most innovative and community-focused building projects. Their collaborative team includes architects, engineers, interior designers, and urban planners — all committed to designing spaces that positively impact communities and the environment.
They are currently seeking a talented Electrical Engineer to join their growing team in Edmonton. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects — from public spaces and commercial buildings to healthcare and institutional facilities — within a highly supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design lighting, power, security, fire alarm, communications, and data infrastructure systems for various building types
Collaborate with architects, interior designers, structural and mechanical engineers on integrated and sustainable design solutions
Prepare BIM (Revit) models and engineering drawings for building systems
Assist in engineering studies, construction documents, and contract administration
Support projects from concept through construction, ensuring quality and deadlines are met
Conduct site visits as needed to support project delivery
Requirements
Qualifications:
Degree in Electrical Engineering; P.Eng. preferred (or EIT with strong relevant experience)
4–8 years of electrical engineering experience in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) industry
Knowledge of power distribution, lighting, fire safety, security, voice/data systems
Proficiency with BIM and Revit strongly preferred
Familiarity with applicable codes and standards for large buildings
Strong collaboration, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Willingness to travel for site visits
