Overview
The Guest Empowerment Coordinator supports Guests of the Community Health Centre in building independence and housing stability. This role develops and delivers trauma-informed, strength-based programs that promote skill-building, personal growth, and community connection, all within a harm reduction and dignity-centered approach.
What You’ll Do
Collaborate on planning and delivering supportive, inclusive programming tailored to diverse needs of Guests.
Lead life skills workshops, support groups, and peer leadership opportunities.
Ensure accessibility for Guests facing mental health, substance use, or housing challenges.
Foster an inclusive, culturally responsive environment rooted in compassion and autonomy.
Coordinate with staff, volunteers, and community partners for comprehensive Guest support.
Track participation, document outcomes, and support program evaluation.
Promote harm reduction, housing-first values, and community care within the team.
Supervise student placements and assist with daily program operations as needed.
Ensure safe, effective program delivery aligned with organizational policies.
What You Bring
Post-secondary degree/diploma in a related human services field
3+ years' experience in social services, housing, or supportive programming.
Knowledge of trauma, poverty, substance use, and mental health through lived or professional experience.
Experience developing programs for marginalized populations.
Strong communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage time effectively and adapt in a dynamic setting.
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
Candidates must have a satisfactory performance and attendance record, which will be considered during the selection process.
