WB Melback Corporation is a company that provides Project Management and General Contractor Services to the Mining, Forestry and Energy Sectors specializing in large and small scale construction services, and are looking to fill positions for projects across Canada.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Project Scheduler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules to ensure timely completion of construction projects. This role requires close collaboration with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to maintain accurate and realistic timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
Coordinate with project managers and field teams to gather schedule updates and progress reports.
Analyze project timelines and identify potential delays or risks.
Prepare and present schedule reports, including critical path analysis and earned value metrics.
Monitor project milestones and deadlines, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations.
Assist in resource planning and allocation based on project schedules.
Participate in project meetings and provide scheduling input and recommendations.
Maintain historical data for future project planning and benchmarking.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3+ years of experience in construction scheduling, preferably in commercial or infrastructure projects.
Proficiency in scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project, etc.).
Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and project management principles.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Project Management Professional certification.
Familiarity with cost control and project budgeting.
Rotations: 14 days in / 14 days out Shifts: 12 hrs (days/nights) Location: Northwestern, BC
