Your responsibilities will include:
Assist with daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
Prepare and process invoices, payments, and expense reports.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Maintain financial records and documentation compliant with IFRS standards
Provide support in tax filings, audits, and regulatory compliance requirements
Collaborate with internal teams to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency
Perform ad-hoc tasks and prepare various reports upon management’s requests
What we’re looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
2-3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a startup or tech environment
Solid understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, Float, Dext)
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and grow
Excellent verbal and communication skills (Bilingualism French and English)
Able to commute to the office in the Old Montreal (hybrid work model)
