The Amazon Store Presentation Frameworks organization is seeking a passionate
Software Development Engineer for its Web Frameworks team. The Web Frameworks
team is chartered with creating Amazon’s most used web frameworks used to build
Amazon Store experiences that hundreds of millions of shoppers use every day.
Our technologies empower thousands of teams in the Store to to efficiently
author secure, defect free code to create innovative customer experiences. You
will also lead in experimenting with applying GenAI technologies to simplify how
this software is deployed and adopted by builders.
We are looking for a passionate software developer to drive the technical
innovation to revolutionize the builder experience of developing on Amazon
Store. Your immediate customers are other developers, and your ideas and code
will touch hundreds of millions of shoppers worldwide. We are leveraging
emergent technologies such as GenAI and large language models to increase the
efficiency of our tier-1 production services, reduce the manual steps in
operations, execute upgrade campaigns across 2,000+ applications, and improve
the developer experience of Amazon engineers worldwide.
Key job responsibilities
We are seeking a Software Development Engineer to develop features to Amazon’s
most used Java development framework. The right candidate will possess a strong
Java development background and has experience developing production quality
code on a regular cadence. You will develop new features in Java, make regular
security and maintenance updates to vulnerabilities in the Java framework, and
develop new testing automation to reduce the total cost of maintaining the Java
development framework.

customers, sellers, and products around the world. We are looking for
individuals who are passionate about creating new products, features, and
services from scratch while managing ambiguity and the pace of a company where
development cycles are measured in weeks, not years. Basic Qualifications: - 3+
years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns,
reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications: - 3+ years of full software development life cycle,
including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build
processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary for this position ranges from $114,800/year up to $191,800/year.
Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related
knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of
compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in
addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
