Reporting to the Agro Manager, this role is responsible for providing expert advice and outstanding support to our guests, while promoting a full range of Agro products and services—including crop inputs, petroleum bins and equipment. Position: Agro Advisor II
Full-time: 40 hours per week. Eligible for benefits after 3 months. If you are relocating from another province, please ensure you have AB Health coverage to be covered by our plan provider.
Availability: Weekdays
Responsibilities:
Analyze current and future agricultural trends and service needs and suggest strategies to create opportunities.
Communicate professionally with suppliers and growers and act as a facilitator in resolution of product complaints.
Be familiar with and follow all Central Alberta Co-op policies and procedures, AWSA regulations and obtain a WHMIS and TDG certificate.
Perform agronomy and operational tasks as required to efficiently run the Agro facility.
Assist in warehouse operations including receiving, shipping and delivery of products.
Work collaboratively in achieving operating budgets and goals as it relates to the pricing, sales, margins and expenses.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree
1–3 years of experience in a related role
Outstanding customer service and communication skills
Strong time management and organizational abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Knowledge of crop inputs, equipment, and petroleum products considered an asset
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; some heavy lifting is required
