Central Alberta Co-op is seeking an Agro Advisor (I) to provide expert service and technical advice to our guests, promoting the full range of Agro products and services, with a focus on crop inputs, petroleum, bins, and equipment.
Position: Agro Advisor (I)
Location: Innisfail Agro Centre
Full-time: 40 hours/week. Benefit eligible after 3 months. If you are coming from out of province, please remember you need to have AB Health coverage to be covered by our plan provider.
Availability: Weekdays
Responsibilities:
Provide information on seed, weed, disease and insect control so customers can make an informed decision,
Communicate professionally with suppliers and growers and act as a facilitator for the resolution of product complaints,
Actively pursue and encourage cross marketing of products and services with growers,
Assure customer satisfaction of products by providing product, agronomy and customer service support,
Pricing, sales and inventory management of crop protection products,
Work collaboratively in achieving operating budgets and goals as it relates to the pricing, sales, margins and expenses,
Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications:
Diploma or Degree in Agriculture or in a related field is required,
Strong problem-solving skills,
Strong self-motivation,
Able to work and perform in a team environment,
Some heavy lifting is required (up to 50 lbs.),
Knowledge of the trading area and local farmers would be an asset,
CCA designation would be an asset,
PAg/AIT would be an asset.
