POSITION SUMMARY:
The Machine Operator ensures the efficient and precise operation of our woodworking machinery. This role will require a strong commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork. The ideal candidate will have a passion for woodworking, a willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This job is a full-time position, with the hours of 7:30am-5:00pm Monday through Friday. A full-benefits package will be provided following the probationary period. The starting wage for this position will be $20-25 per hour depending on experience. On-the-job training will be provided for the successful candidate.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist machinists in the setup, operation, and maintenance of woodworking machinery, including but not limited to saws, drill, edgebander, CNC, planers, and sanders.
Handle and organize raw materials.
Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery, such as cleaning, lubricating, and minor repairs, under the guidance of the senior machinists.
Measure, mark, and cut materials according to provided specifications, ensuring accuracy and precision.
Monitor the production process to identify and report any issues or malfunctions.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the proper disposal of waste materials.
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Experience in the cabinetry industry or woodworking is an asset.
Experience using and operating similar machinery.
Employees must be able to stand for long periods of time and make repetitive movements, such as bending and twisting.
Compliant with health and safety standards and promotes a positive work environment.
