Worker Type: Employee Job Post End Date: 06/19/2025 About this opportunity: Reporting to the Manager, Finance Conventional Operations, the financial analyst is responsible for key financial tasks that support the Conventional Operations Business Unit as well as acting as a liaison for corporate processes with various groups. Over time, the expectation would be to find opportunities for business practice and operational improvements, including enhancing the financial reports provided to stakeholders in the Conventional business unit. What you’ll do: Interpret financial operating results (i.e., Production, royalties, operating expenses) of the Conventional Operations business unit and develop qualitative explanations for discussion Assist with the preparation and administration of the monthly Performance Management reporting process Monthly operational finance functions, including but not limited to operating expense accruals, cost allocations, journal entries, profit and loss analysis, and account reconciliations Support overall compliance with SOX processes Liaison between operational and finance functions to help provide financial and accounting support and guidance Support the preparation and submission of the Conventional business unit budgets and forecasts Investigate and analyze disputed/audit charges from joint venture partners Who you are: Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements: Legally authorized to work in Canada Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics Professional Accounting Designation (CPA, CGA, CMA) would be considered an asset Minimum 5+ years of relevant Oil and Gas accounting/reporting experience Proficient in SAP and other reporting applications We acknowledge the value of transferrable skills and may consider equivalent combinations of experience and education should you not meet a specific requirement.
