Position: Meat Cutter
Part-time: 24 – 36 hours per week. Eligible for benefits after 3 months. If you are relocating from another province, please ensure you have AB Health coverage to be covered by our plan provider.
Availability: Weekdays and weekends- mornings, afternoons, and evenings.
Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional customer service and answer customer questions
Skillfully slicing, trimming, and preparing a variety of meat selections and cuts, then carefully wrapping and packaging each with utmost precision.
Manage time efficiently to complete all special orders
Order, receive, and display merchandise
Practice safe food handling procedures and wear appropriate attire
Perform general housekeeping duties, following proper sanitation procedures and maintaining housekeeping logs
Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager
Qualifications:
Outstanding customer service and communication skills
Exceptional attention to detail and quality
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Team player with the ability to work independently
Correct handling of knives and proficient utilization of other cutting tools
Experience with food preparation is an asset; training is available
Capable of working in a cold/refrigerated environment
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; some heavy lifting is required
Applicants must be over 14 years old. (Employment Standards mandates a permit to employ a person aged 14 or under, thus disclosure is required)
