Reporting to the Ag Site Manager, responsibilities for this position include the following:
To come to work with a positive, professional approach and attitude.
To be dependable for all scheduled shifts.
To support facility team members in providing information, assistance, and service to customers in a manner that will promote the sale of crop inputs, hardware, feed, oils & lubes to meet the needs, requirements, and expectations of the customer. Includes, creating work orders, load out tickets, loading customers and invoicing customers as per Credit Policy.
To order and receive merchandise as directed by the Agro Manager as per Saskatoon Co-op Policies and Procedures.
To process daily payable invoices, claims and inventory reports as required
To order merchandise as directed by the Agro Manager as per Saskatoon Co-op Policies and Procedures.
To operate Tronia Point of Sale and complete daily cash reconciliations when required
To assist site manager with regulatory compliance including licenses, permits, health & safety, training, audit requirements, emergency response and proactive maintenance to ensure daily operations are conducted safely and efficiently.
To adjust minor complaints in accordance with general sales policy and refer more serious complaints to the appropriate personnel.
To be responsible for processing of invoices, claims, and inventory reports as required.
To operate equipment in the yard as assigned (i.e. forklift).
To be familiar with and adhere to Saskatoon Co-op policies and procedures.
To maintain a constant alert against unauthorized removal of merchandise.
To perform general housekeeping duties
To ensure environmental compliance is maintained at all times
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Must have Grade XII or equivalent
Must possess farm background experience or two years in an agro related business
Must be strongly service-oriented, motivated, and capable of serving and assisting customers in a courteous and efficient manner.
Must possess sufficient knowledge and experience in the handling and merchandising of all products carried in the department.
Must possess strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
Must be Proficient in Point of Sale operations and Tronia operational requirements
Must be mechanically inclined
Must be prepared to increase product knowledge, improve selling techniques and human resources knowledge through special courses, product clinics, seminars and training sessions.
Must hold a valid Saskatchewan Driver’s Class 5 License.
Demonstrates ability in safety thoughts and actions
Must be available to work mornings, afternoons and weekends.
