LeanScaper is growing fast and looking for a Director of Events to help take our team to the next level!

Their mission is to help landscaping companies scale efficiently by combining lean management principles, providing structured coaching, expert advisors, and powerful technology. They provide businesses with a proven operating system, growth accelerator program, a robust industry network, and cutting-edge software to drive profitability, improve efficiency, and build stronger teams.
Events are a core pillar of the LeanScaper experience. From quarterly intensive workshops to weekly high-impact webinars, our events serve as a platform for education, networking, and transformational business growth. The Director of Events will own these experiences, ensuring each event aligns with our mission to empower landscapers with the tools, insights, and connections they need to thrive.
This role includes:
Oversee All Event Planning & Execution
Manage and execute all of LeanScaper’s events, including:
Webinars (2-3 per week)
Quarterly in-person intensive events (2.5 day events)
Leadership mastermind retreats (2 day events, fall / winter)
Third-party conventions and trade shows (~10-15 per year)
Speaking engagements (~10-20/year)
Work directly with the Chief of Staff to develop a comprehensive event strategy for each event aligned with company goals.
Ensure seamless event planning and execution, from pre-event logistics to on-site management and post-event analysis.
Order high-impact promotional materials for events, including coordinating inbound and outbound shipping.
Cross-Department Collaboration & Communication
Collaborate Across Teams for Maximum Impact - work closely with marketing, branding, media, sales, finance, and customer experience to integrate events into the broader company strategy.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align event messaging and goals.
Partner with the Founder to bring his event vision to life while enhancing reach and impact.
Budget Planning & Oversight
Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
Track and analyze event ROI, optimizing strategies for future initiatives.
Leverage Technology & Innovation
Integrate AI tools to enhance event planning and execution.
Utilize Notion as the primary project management and planning tool.
Stay ahead of industry trends, incorporating innovative event strategies and technologies.
Travel & On-Site Presence
Travel as required to oversee event execution and represent LeanScaper at events we host, as well as third party events and trade shows.
Ensure on-the-ground problem-solving and a seamless experience for attendees and stakeholders.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in event management, ideally with a mix of
virtual and in-person events.
Proven ability to manage multiple events simultaneously with a high level of execution.
Hands-on approach with a willingness to get involved in the details.
Exceptional cross-department communication and collaboration skills.
Experience with budget management and financial oversight.
Tech-savvy mindset with experience integrating AI tools.
Willingness to travel as needed.
Relevant green industry experience in business events, trade shows, or professional development conferences.
Experience using Notion for project management and planning.
Familiarity with Zoom Events and other virtual event platforms.
Experience working with high-level executives and VIP stakeholders.
Background in branding and marketing collaboration for event promotion.

Compensation: $100,000 - $120,000 CAD Annually plus 25% variable
Location: Remote (with travel throughout US + Canada 30-40% of the time)
