They will be given tasks and projects of a smaller scope to plan and execute independently which will help them develop their communication, organizational, project management and presentation skills. Students may work in several departments such as Facilities, Logistics, Human Resources, or Operations during the course of their internship. What your day to day will look like: Working under a department lead you will plan and execute small projects individually or in a small group. Complete tasks as given by department managers. What you need to be successful: Be eligible to work in Canada Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable Pursuing a degree in Engineering, Environmental or Computer Science Excellent communication skills in English (spoken/written). French is an asset but not required. Assets: Organizational skills and ability to work under pressure with competing and varying priorities Project management skills Ability to work independently or in small groups Work Environment: Plant 32 in Lethbridge, Alberta is an aircraft engine manufacturer with approx. 140 employees. The assembly line runs 24 hours/day and other staff support on a Monday to Friday shift. The work can be dynamic and fast moving as assembly requires Technical, Quality, Logistical, and Process support to ensure a dependable and quality product for the customer.
