In a diverse and highly competitive retail environment, the Outside Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales and profitability. This role involves working collaboratively with others to grow the business and identify new opportunities. The Outside Sales Representative will fulfill their responsibilities while aligning with our Core Values and Brand. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Developing and maintaining relationships with both new and existing customers and nurturing good relationships with contractors.
Implement marketing plans and collaborate with the Evergreen team to achieve or surpass established sales and margin targets.
Identifying and pursuing sales opportunities within the HABS division, as well as cross-promoting other commodities.
Conducting sales presentations, product demonstrations, on-site measurements, project site visits, and providing support to the estimator team.
Attending local events and offering marketing support
Collaborating with current or prospective customers or contractors to assist in decision-making on potential projects and builds, providing ongoing support during the project, and serving as a liaison between contractors and clients
Providing regular reports on sales activities
Staying current with the latest trends and technologies in the HABS industry
Offering feedback on client needs and market trends
Delivering exceptional service to our Members and Guests, adhering to our Brand expectations through our motto, “You’re at Home Here”
Understanding and following Evergreen Co-op’s Health and Safety Program and promoting a culture of safety
Accepting additional responsibilities or projects as needed
Utilizing company equipment, including company vehicles
Being able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
We are ideally seeking candidates with the following qualifications:
A Grade 12 education or its equivalent is required, with a preference for candidates who have completed post-secondary education, such as a business diploma or degree.
We are seeking a passionate and highly motivated candidate with a proven track record in sales.
Exceptional customer service skills are essential for this position.
Strong attention to detail, alongside excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, is required.
Outstanding communication skills are imperative.
The candidate must possess the ability to collaborate effectively with all team members.
The ideal applicant will demonstrate honesty and integrity, be results-oriented, and exhibit a commitment to excellence.
A Class 5 Driver’s License and the successful completion of a criminal record check are mandatory.
