Job DescriptionMove required material to a designated location within the yard using an overhead crane or forkliftLoad joist and deck and other material on the trailers for shippingComplete daily pre-use inspection prior to using a crane and other material handling equipmentFollow and demonstrate proper rigging and chaining procedures/techniques for placement on or off trailersMaintain control of load at all timesAdjust loads in place with a pry barPromptly report any maintenance concernsEnsure appropriate personal protective equipment is worn at all timesPractice good housekeeping, including 5S requirements, and time management in the performance of daily dutiesComply with all legislated and company’s health, safety, environmental, quality and Lean policies, procedures and programsPerform all other duties as assignedQualificationsPosition will require the ability to: Climb steps onto trailersShunt trucks as and when requiredWork outdoors in extreme weather conditions everydayPhysical ability to continuously flip/stack materialsRoutinely lifting up to 50 lb is also requiredAdditional InformationCanam, an employer that makes you want to stay
