Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Senior Employee & Labour Relations Specialist on a permanent basis.
This is a dynamic, expert-level labour relations role where no two days are the same—you’ll navigate complex CBA interpretations, performance issues, and workplace investigations while partnering closely with leaders across diverse environments. This position is a hybrid opportunity open to candidates located in (or willing to travel regularly to) Regina, SK.
What you’ll do:
Lend expertise to the formation of HR strategies related to employee engagement, change management, and inclusive workplace practices.
Advise team leaders on topics such as return to work plans, employee absenteeism and Performance Improvement Plans (PIP).
Manage complex case files and grievance processes by researching case law, collaborating with legal counsel, and coaching leaders on resolution plans.
Build and maintain strong relationships with union representatives to support effective business operations.
Lead workplace investigations and support collective bargaining efforts by preparing research, developing continuity plans, and coaching on employee issues.
Who you’ll work with:
You'll be one of 10 individuals on the Employee & Labour Relations team reporting to a manager with a coaching-focused leadership style. You will support a dedicated portfolio of stakeholders within the Co-operative Retailing System (CRS), focusing primarily on our Co-op Refinery Complex. You’ll also be connected to a professionals across CRS, including those in health & safety, legal, and at local Co-ops.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Human Resources & Training and:
Have a minimum of 6-9 years of relevant progressively responsible HR experience in a unionized work environment, with a primary focus on labour relations (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
Have a bachelor of commerce or business administration, preferably majoring in human resources.
Are familiar with employee relations, collective bargaining, and/or the grievance and arbitration process.
