About the role
Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Regular full-time Scheduler/Timekeeper - RFT - Ottawa to join our dynamic Donor Relations & Collections East team.
The Donor Relations & Collections East team is responsible for supporting Canadian Blood Services by collecting donor blood in a safe manner to enable safe products which save lives every day. In this role, you will be responsible for clerical work reporting to the Supervisor, Resources. You will adhere to all current operating procedures and practice good judgment in the performance of job responsibilities while promoting the Centre’s objectives through good interpersonal skills. .
Formula for success
Utilizing your scheduling expertise, you will evaluate and plan staffing requirements and arrange staff training as needed.
You will ensure all sick calls are replaced daily.
Drawing from your timekeeping experience, you will handle time entries in SAP.
You will prepare, maintain and post schedules utilizing SharePoint, Excel, and Office 365.
Perform other duties as required.
Desired education and skills
Completion of a post-secondary education in a relevant discipline from a recognized academic institution.
Minimum two (2) years' experience in related position preferably in a regulated environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Technical skills including Microsoft Excel, Share Point and Office 365. SAP knowledge strongly preferred.
Exceptional interpersonal communication and customer service.
Ability to work effectively in an integrated multi-disciplinary team.
Demonstrated skills in creative and analytical thinking.
Ability to establish priorities and organize workload.

What you can expect
Shift/hours - Monday to Friday 7:00 to 15:00 with possible on call rotational Saturday shifts.
Physical requirements - ability to lift weight up to 10 kg (22 lbs.).
