Reporting to the Director of Operations and the Buildings East Digital Construction Manager, the Digital Construction Manager will lead the deployment of digital construction initiatives across multiple projects, providing strategic leadership and support to district Digital Construction Coordinators. You will collaborate with project teams during the pre-construction phase and maintain ongoing engagement throughout construction. Additionally, you will ensure the successful execution of digital construction programs and the development of project-specific model-to-field plans, integrating quality assurance and cost estimation efforts. What You Will Be Working On: Team Leadership & Support for District Digital Construction Coordinators Lead and mentor district Digital Construction Coordinators, providing guidance, support, and resources to ensure seamless execution of the digital construction program. Foster a culture of collaboration among the Digital Construction Coordinators to standardize workflows and promote the sharing of best practices. Ensure all projects adhere to established standards for consistency and quality and develop or implement new standards where needed. Champion ongoing training and development opportunities so teams stay updated with the latest digital construction tools and processes. 2. Engagement at the Pre-Construction Phase Work closely with the Digital Pre-Construction Manager to collaborate with project teams during pre-construction, advising on project-specific digital construction requirements (e.g., software, personnel, and workflows). Align digital construction initiatives with overall project schedules and goals, ensuring a smooth handoff from design to construction. Provide training and support to project staff, consultants, and subcontractors on digital construction software and workflows as required. 3. Support Project Teams During Construction Provide direct digital construction support throughout the construction phase, ensuring that project teams fully utilize available tools and workflows. Proactively troubleshoot on-site digital construction issues to minimize disruptions to project schedules. Maintain up-to-date models and workflows that reflect real-time construction progress. Oversee the development of 3D/4D models for schedule visualization, site logistics, and other project planning needs, ensuring these models are fully utilized by site teams. Coordinate with Digital Construction Coordinators to ensure the necessary resources, processes, and tools are in place with all project-relevant stakeholders for design coordination and constructability reviews. 4. Support Project Teams with Reality Capture Partner with the Digital Construction Reality Capture Manager to implement cutting-edge reality capture processes and innovative initiatives that enhance data accuracy, efficiency, and integration. Incorporate quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes into the digital construction workflows to ensure all project deliverables meet required standards. 5. Collaboration, Costing & Estimation Collaborate with the Buildings East Digital Construction Manager and the innovation department to develop and implement new digital construction initiatives that boost consistency and efficiency. Work with Estimators and Project Managers to forecast the level of effort required (personnel, software licenses, hardware) for digital construction initiatives. Lead the costing and estimation for all digital construction-related software, tools, and processes. What We Are Looking For Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field. 8+ years of experience in Digital Construction/BIM/VDC management, with demonstrated leadership in large-scale construction projects. On-site construction knowledge and/or relevant work experience is an asset. Proficiency with key Digital Construction tools (e.g., Revit, Revizto, ACC) and processes. In-depth understanding of construction project requirements, BIM execution planning, and digital construction execution. Strong leadership and communication skills, capable of managing multidisciplinary teams across departments. Analytical and critical thinking abilities, with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Experience in project pursuits, proposal development, and VDC implementation across pre-construction and construction phases. Strong understanding of construction processes, model-to-field workflows, and QA/QC standards. Familiarity with reality capture and survey/layout technologies is preferred.
