SAFETY AND ASSET PROTECTION ADVISOR (LEVEL III)

What you’ll do: Reporting to the Finance Operations Manager, the Safety and Asset Protection Advisor (Level III) is responsible for tactical leadership, oversight, and providing operational support to the organization in the areas of safety & health, asset protection, and liability claims management. This position will help foster an environment that aligns with the values, vision, and mission of the organization in all areas of safety, and the protection of people, physical assets, intellectual property, profits, and brand.
Key Job Responsibilities Include:
Leading and modeling a culture of “Safety First”
Assist with development and administration of a robust Safety Management System
Oversee liability claims management
Leading safety and asset protection investigations, collaborating with stakeholders
Ongoing support and leadership to safety and health committees to be effective champions of continuous improvement and controlling hazards
Track, review and analyze asset protection occurrence reports
Ensure safety & asset protection training mechanisms are in place
Ensure efficient and effective internal documentation of safety/asset protection records
Support the organization’s Return to Work program, in collaboration with HR and various stakeholders
Who you are:
You have a post-secondary Diploma, Degree, or Certificate (or equivalent relevant work experience)
You have 3-6 years of experience in a retail environment
You have a strong computer and technical background, including effective working skills of the Microsoft suite and Outlook
You have excellent interpersonal skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills
You have the ability to work independently as well as part of a Team
You have a commitment to ongoing learning and development in self and others
