Position: Home Centre Associate
Part-time: 24 - 36 hours per week. Bene?t eligible after 3 months. If you are coming from out of province, please remember you need to have AB Health coverage to be covered by our plan provider.
Availability: Weekdays and weekends- mornings, afternoons, and evenings.
Responsibilities:
Greet customers and respond to customer questions
Familiarize yourself with our product range
Stay updated on new product details to ensure comprehensive product knowledge
Cashier duties; Ensure accurate processing of sale transactions
Prepare special orders and manage inventory
Replenish shelves and assist with inventory counts
Assist in merchandise displays
Operate a forklift to move, load, and unload materials safely and efficiently
Perform sales calls with efficiency
Participate in tasks such as loading products and cutting flooring
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager
Qualifications:
Exceptional attention to detail and quality
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Outstanding customer service and communication skills
Team player with the ability to work independently
A valid driver's licence
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.; some heavy lifting is required
Applicants must be over 14 years old. (Employment Standards mandates a permit to employ a person aged 14 or under, thus disclosure is required.)
