Job Summary: CSA Group has an opportunity for a Co-op Student - Standards, Strategic Development reporting to the Director, Standards, Strategic Development. This is a 12-month contract position. In this role, you will assist team members on special projects to provide analytical, technical, and evaluation support. Conducting desktop research, communicating with internal and external colleagues, and developing reports and presentations on a variety of emerging topics will be part of the day-to-day activities required. The target start date for this role is May 2025, for a term of 12 months. Please submit a cover letter with your application. Responsibilities: As a Co-op Student, the successful candidate will assist with strategic development activities across a variety of subject areas. Responsibilities include: Assist in preparation and maintenance of project documentation such as summary reports, analytics, desktop research, etc. Lead process improvement initiatives to support the program, such as optimizing data collection, analysis, and reporting systems. Assist in scheduling and convening of in-person and/or virtual meetings. Disseminate and maintain project documentation and correspondence. Follow up on team action items and assist CSA staff (within scope of responsibility). Preferred Education and Experience: Completion of second year or higher in an undergraduate program. Preference for students in a technical/scientific, business, or management program. Knowledge of standards and government policy would be an asset. Experience working with volunteers and/or multi-party groups would be an asset. Skills: Excellent people skills: managing relationships, facilitating and networking with people at all levels with divergent interests and backgrounds. Highly developed oral and written communication skills. Excellent project management, organizational and planning skills; detail and process orientated. High degree of self-motivation, initiative, resilience, and adaptability. Demonstrated ability to be a team player. Strong computer skills (word processing, presentation software, spreadsheets, etc.).
