Your Opportunity
We are currently looking for a Distribution Design Team Lead in our Saskatoon office. As a technical leader, you will emphasize excellence, work closely with the technical design team on all types of distribution projects and programs, and provide the necessary leadership required to deliver projects that meet and exceed client expectations.
Your Key Responsibilities
Understand and ensure that client expectations related to project scope are met and exceeded.
Establish and maintain positive internal and external stakeholder relationships.
Develop project planning documents and client progress reports.
Support development of proposals, project cost estimates and project schedules.
Coordination and/or facilitation of key meetings or review points: project kick-off meetings, IFR/IFC review, constructability review, construction kick-off, etc. and following all action items through to completion.
Provide proactive project change, risk and stakeholder management support.
Act as the primary technical interface for the projects and provide advice and guidance to the engineering disciplines.
Ensure procurement packages are produced in accordance with project cost, schedule and quality requirements.
Review project documentation and perform Engineer of Record duties (specifications, IFR/IFC drawings, designs, equipment lists, labor estimates, etc.) prior to issue for accuracy, completeness and presentation.
Apply proactive and effective communication with key stakeholders.
Apply knowledge and expertise acquired through progressive experience to resolve complex issues where precedent may be limited.
Construction support activities.
Site travel is expected, and position will require travel to site 1
