Job DescriptionReporting to the Finance Team Lead, the Project Financial Coordinator (PFC) supports the financial aspects of projects, ensuring accurate budget tracking, invoicing, and financial reporting. The PFC works closely with project management team and financial teams to maintain financial control.More specifically the PFC will:Prepare and submit project invoices by gathering required documentation and backup materials in accordance with contract terms and deadlinesValidate and reconcile Work in Progress (WIP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) balances with the general ledger and financial systems; follow up with clients as needed to resolve discrepancies or outstanding itemsPrepare monthly and quarterly usage reports for client reportingMaintain accurate financial project records, including dates, client and vendor budgets, and purchase orders (POs)Prepare and support monthly reporting on project revenues and profitability to ensure performance and variances trackingSupport month-end and year-end closing activities related to projectsProvide support to project teams on financial matters, including budget preparation and forecast revisionsQualificationsA college diploma in accounting or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of experienceExcellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracyEffective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with internal teams and clientsProficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis)Experience with financial software and ERP systemsStrong understanding of financial principles including budgeting, forecasting, revenue recognition, WIP, and accounts receivableAbility to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentBilingualism is an asset but not requiredAbility to obtain and maintain a government secret clearanceHybrid: onsite 2-3 times a week Additional InformationWork-Life Balance We strongly support a healthy and productive work-life balance.
