Join our team today!Job DescriptionThis position acts as the initial contact with Diagnostic Imaging Clients. Main areas of responsibility include verifies patient documentation; performs scheduling, registration, and order placement for Diagnostic Imaging studies in a timely manner; handles department communication and liaisons with many client types, (patients, physicians, and healthcare providers); and ensures that all patient records are processed efficiently and managed with the utmost of confidentiality, accuracy, and comprehensiveness.Accountabilities:Sorts all requisitions to ensure that required clinical information is complete and appropriate approval signatures are provided.Screens patients for necessary PPID and Falls PreventionFollows any MOH/CCO system data entry requirementsEnsures payor information is correctly gathered and entered i.e.Private insurances, OHIP, WSIB and Self PayArranging patient transport within OslerBooking diagnostic imaging procedures and communicates exam preparation to patients.Documenting inpatient order entries for service coordinatorResponsible for registration, scheduling, and order entry data for all Diagnostic Imaging patients pathwayVerifies and updates patient information, validates OHIP cards and fields customer service inquiriesImage and report management (faxing urgent reports, contacting radiologist with ordering physicians, pocket health), and registrationMaybe required to travel between and work at all Osler sites.Compliance with confidentiality and documentation requirements under Osler Privacy PolicyLiaises with patients, other department staff, and external customers in order to provide optimal patient careexercises some judgment or decision-making in the provision of clerical serviceOther duties as assigned.QualificationsHigh school diploma requiredKnowledge of patient registration, scheduling and order entry requiredExcellent customer service, demonstrating patience, kindness and caring in an environment with constant multiple demands.Knowledge of the diagnostic imaging processes and procedures, PCIS and image management preferredMedical terminology certificate/course requiredWorking knowledge of patient transportation system preferredTyping skills of 40-45 words per minutes requiredMaintain excellent interpersonal relationships while handling multiple tasks, frequent interruptions and stressful situations.Must demonstrate Osler's Values of Respect, Excellence, Service, Compassion, Innovation and CollaborationExcellent organizational, telephone and problem-solving skills, with ability to set own priorities and work with minimal supervisionExcellent attendance, punctuality, and work recordAdditional InformationHours: Currently Days/Evenings/Nights, including weekends and statutory holidays (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)Salary:
