This role provides technical support for the Compressor Operations group by keeping all associated equipment running safe and efficiently while also supporting expansion and growth projects. What you will do: Installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of various controls systems used on jet turbines, power generation, dehydration, gas measurement and gas quality. Provide accurate and detailed documentation of all work performed, i.e. red-line drawings, complete logbooks, electronic maintenance system records updating, and other paperwork as required. Work closely with Maintenance, Engineering and Operations departments to assist in quickly solving technical problems in the field. Accurately calibrating existing equipment as well as troubleshooting and repairing of electronic and pneumatic instrumentation and controls. Programming and troubleshooting of various PLC/HMI/DCS software packages. Participate in a standby schedule rotation. Who you are: You have the following education and experience: College graduate in the field of Instrumentation/Controls Technology. Minimum 3-5 years related field experience in the area of controls and/or electrical work and/or gas measurement work. Ability to read and interpret electrical and logic drawings. Will have good oral, and written communications skills. Ability to work in a team environment, with minimal supervision. Good working knowledge of PLC’s with DCS exposure. Licensed electrician (Industrial and / or Construction / Maintenance) would be an asset. Previous experience working in the oil and gas industry would also be an asset. OACETT certification in the controls / electronics / instrumentation fields would be an asset. Working Conditions: There will be some travel required (approx. 30%) for work and support at our remote valve sites and other stations as required.
