The Lloydminster Co-op Marketplace Meat Department is currently recruiting for 2 Part Time Meat Clerks (24-30 hours per week)
Essential Functions of the Job:
Interact in a professional manner with customers, answering, re-directing or resolving their inquiries or concerns to ensure satisfaction.
Must present a neat, clean, fresh, well merchandised department and related work areas.
Be familiar with all lines of merchandise handled.
Receive and store all meat as required.
Ensure that an adequate variety and stocks of all meat related products are displayed at all times.
Prepare value added products such as glazing different proteins, stuffed mushrooms, chop veggies for assembling kabobs, blending cream cheese mixtures, assembling and seasoning various butcher seasoned products, etc.
Observe all safety measures and report hazardous conditions immediately to the Department Manager.
Perform general housekeeping and sanitation duties as per Association standards.
Operate equipment necessary to prepare merchandise for sale.
Provide proper maintenance of equipment, monitor case temperatures, clean equipment regularly and notify manager in reference to repairs.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA’s):
Current food handler’s certificate once employed
Ability to work in a team environment
Excellent customer service skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Education and Experience:
Grade 12
Previous experience working in a meat department is an asset
