Purpose of the position
Reporting to the Sales Director, you will be part of the North American sales team responsible for remotely protecting and expanding SMART’s coverage and reach in K-12, higher education, corporate and government markets in the South-Central region.
Responsibilities and accountabilities
Lumio Software Sales & Renewals and associated admin tasks
Lead Management
Accept and qualify leads, map to correct account
Qualification includes initial discovery call and remote demo as needed
Review history, gather input from others; convert lead to opportunity in Salesforce and assign to SMART field sales or channel partner
Monthly aggregate lead follow-up with channel
Pricing & Deal Registration approvals
Help Area Manager update opportunities in Salesforce with pricing discounts, volumes, timing, products, etc.
Issue pricing letter notification letters
Salesforce data hygiene as needed
Opportunity follow-up with resellers
Monthly aggregate opportunity follow-up with channel
Remote Demos (to education, higher education, corporate and government customers)
New & Existing Resellers/Distributors
Onboarding of new resellers
Inbound questions/help from existing resellers including inventory, product questions, resources, pricing letter updates/extensions (general Channel support)
Performing other duties as required
Education and work experience
Bachelor's degree in a related field (business, education, etc.)
1+ years sales experience or related experience working in the educational field
Previous exposure to the educational field is considered an asset
Experience or knowledge of current SMART technology would be considered an asset
Strong communication, interpersonal skills, writing skills, and presentation skills
Highly motivated, energetic, and eager to work with both internal SMART teams as well as the SMART channel
Additional Details
Office based role, fast-paced work environment.
Travel may be required (up to 10%)
Accordingly, a valid passport, or no impediment to obtain one, is required.
