Overview of the Role: As a member of the Maintenance team, this position is responsible of taking in charge and maintaining 600HP & 300 HP Fire Tube Boilers and related equipment in the Edmonton Operation on a 12-hour rotating schedule, in a 24/7 operation. The position reports to the Chief Boiler Engineer, the Maintenance Manager & works closely with other Engineers and other maintenance staff. Schedule: Week 01: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday – 6:00 am to 6:00 pm Week 02: Monday, Tuesday, Friday & Saturday – 6:00 am to 6:00 pm Hourly rate: $ 46.35 How you will make contributions that matter: Committed to safety, the environment, working within a team, willing to learn and contribute. Operating 600HP & 300HP Fire Tube Boilers Trouble shooting and repairing various motors and pumps Understanding and maintaining Screw Air Compressors, Desiccant Dryers, Water Softeners, and Deaerator Good understanding and maintaining Ammonia Cooling System, CO2 cooling system, Ice Builders/Falling Film & Condensers Testing Chemical Concentrations where required Assisting and responding to production inquiries on the steam end of process Building and grounds maintenance Working in a HACCP environment, following our GMP & completing related documentation Adaptable to a twenty-four-hour shift rotation to cover production requirements Communicating on a continued basis with the Edmonton plant team Ensure that all work is performed safely while following OH&S, WCB, and Company regulations and procedures. Performing other duties as required i.e., working on processing equipment (heat exchangers, homogenizers, separators, pumps). You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications: 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate is required 3rd class Power Engineering Certificate would be an asset Experience on High Pressure boilers Refrigeration experience would be an asset Mechanical Background would be an asset Food industry experience Excellent trouble shooting skills Ability to work independently with minimum supervision High level of self-motivation and initiative Experience in a HACCP environment would be an asset Dependable with a good attendance Standard First-Aid, TDG, Confined Space Entry would be an asset.
